Have you heard of smoothie bowls? For a while now it’s been my go to breakfast every morning. It’s so great to start your day with such a beautiful meal. As well as being delicious, these bowls are colourful, filled with nutrients, filling and refreshing.
Smoothie bowls are a version of regular smoothie that you eat with a spoon. Because of its consistency, you can add ingredients on top of it for a touch of crunch. For busy mornings, all you need to do is add a few ingredients on top without arranging them, and it will taste just as delicious.
To make sure it’s a complete breakfast you have to make sure to include a source of protein. That’s why I add oatmeal and Greek yogurt. Also, frozen fruits thicken your smoothie mix so it makes the smoothie ideal for putting fruits on top.
This smoothie is my favourite breakfast recently. Have you joined the trend?
